Dear friends, colleagues, family and friends,
Do you have a COVID 19 prevention strategy? We do and it’s one we’ll share in this newsletter.
I’m not a doctor nor am I considered an expert in health and wellness so feel free to take what I write with a grain of salt. I’m just an ordinary business owner who cares about the health and wellness of his people, his family and our communities, long before a pandemic was on our doorstep.
Because of prior illnesses and diseases of loved ones, I’ve done an in-depth, 10,000+ hour study of many healing modalities including diet, nutrition and Vitamin C that are not yet embraced by the US mainstream media, government or health care system. Last September, I also watched several videos of Thomas Levy, MD, JD who touts Vitamin C as a virucide, which means it kills ALL viruses.
That said, the most important thing you can do for your family and your employees is to set up infrastructure to support them in this unprecedented time. We believe that infrastructure looks like a company supported kitchen network to feed your most vulnerable employees medically tailored meals while the pandemic is still in its early stages here on US soil. Start by feeding your sickest first. This is a method employed by the nonprofit Project Angel Heart, which has been serving nutrient dense food to the sick and recovering since 1991, with astonishing health results.
“The virus is coldly indiscriminate…it leaves us all, rich and poor, in the same boat: The only way any of us is truly protected is if the least among us is protected.” Farhad Manjoo, NYT Columnist.
Another strong suggestion is to make sure you have mega doses of liposomal Vitamin C on hand [and intravenously] to treat every employee or stakeholder in your company and their family should they need it or request it. Even better, implement its usage as a preventive measure for everyone in your company…now. That means all stakeholders. Don’t wait for pronouncements from the CDC or any governmental authority since the number of biased agendas in US culture is chillingly evident.
Upton Sinclair wrote something prescient, “it’s hard to get a man to understand something, when his paycheck depends on him NOT understanding it.” This blind spot explains why something as simple as mega doses of Vitamin C can work effectively against many [or all] viruses and yet see no governmental authorities in the US supporting it. Follow the money – diet and supplement studies are more complicated and costly to research in depth, and pharmaceuticals have no desire to validate them. Even though the government is reluctant to advise treatments that haven’t been studied to their specificity, there is plenty of research to suggest there is no harm in giving liposomal vitamin c a shot, in addition to other preventative measures. While the world is anxiously waiting and hoping for a vaccine [which I’m all for!!!] there are things you can do today that are simple, doable, decisive and THE RIGHT THING TO DO.
NYT columnist Farhad Manjoo had this to say about COVID 19. He views it as a:
“very expensive stress test for the global order -an acute, out-of-nowhere shock that is putting pressure on societies at their weakest points. Some nations like South Korea are showing remarkable resilience. The best ones will greet the crisis as an opportunity to build a more robust society.”
He continues:
“It is not clear how well the American system will respond, but the early signs are far from encouraging. What we’re learning is that our society might be far more brittle than we had once imagined. The virus has laid bare our greatest vulnerability: We’ve got the world’s biggest economy and the world’s strongest military, but it turns out we might have built the entire edifice upon layers and layers of unaccounted-for risk, because we forgot to assign a value to the true measure of a nation’s success: The well-being of its population.”
Speaking of the well-being of our population, alternative methods for enabling the immune system to fight infectious disease deserve more recognition. Here is a report from a US trained physician in China:
“We need to broadcast a message worldwide very quickly: Vitamin C (small or large dose) does no harm to people, and is one of the few, if not the only, agent that has a chance to prevent us from getting, and can treat, COVID 19 infection. When can we, medical doctors and scientists, put patients lives first?” Richard Z. Cheng, MD, PhD. International Vitamin C China Epidemic Medical Support Team Leader.
In addition, three intravenous Vitamin C Research Studies have been approved for treating COVID 19.
Dr. Cheng, who is a US board-certified specialist in anti-aging medicine, adds:
“Vitamin C is very promising for prevention, and especially important to treat dying patients when there is no better treatment. Over 2,000 people have died of the COIV-19 outbreak and yet I have not seen or heard large dose intravenous vitamin C being used in any of the cases. The current sole focus on vaccine and specific antiviral drugs for epidemics is misplaced.”
Giving more context, Dr. Cheng mentions:
“Early and sufficiently large doses of intravenous vitamin C are critical. Vitamin C is not only a prototypical antioxidant, but also involved in virus killing and prevention of viral replication. The significance of large dose intravenous vitamin C is not just at antiviral level. It is acute respiratory distress syndrome (ARDS) that kills most people from coronaviral pandemics (SARS, MERS and now NCP). ARDS is a common final pathway leading to death. We therefore call for a worldwide discussion and debate on this topic.”
Worst case, liposomal Vitamin C does no harm. Best case, liposomal Vitamin C works. While studies are still underway on its specific affects on COVID19, it does not hurt to try. I don’t think anyone will argue with this: A strong immune system is your best defense against COVID 19. So what is the best path to a strong immune system? Based on my research and study from the past 13 years, eating an organic plant-based diet that is free from pesticides, herbicides, dyes and additives is your best path to a robust immune system health. In other words, real food. This means minimize your consumption of processed foods. The fresher the food, the better. And growing it in your garden or buying it from your local farmer is the gold or platinum standard. I also encourage you to minimize your exposure to toxins in your water, food and home. Easier said than done in the toxic soup of our modern age, I know!
Actions we have taken: We have been operating a Company Supported Kitchen for my three companies since last fall. One of our key people, Abigail Walker, loves to cook and believes in medically tailored meals that support strong immune systems.
Once per week, she has been menu planning, shopping and cooking mostly plant based meals for us in the company supported kitchen. In light of the pandemic, I’m going to expand her cooking schedule on the company dime from one day per week to three or more days per week. And the company will cover 100% of the food costs while paying her to cook even though that was not the initial or primary reason why she was hired!!
Why can’t you do the same with your workers? Your employees who know how to cook medically tailored [nutrient dense] meals are the most important and valuable health care workers in your company and in your community during a pandemic. You don’t have to undertake a massive search to see find these prized health care workers. They are already on your payroll and, most likely, working from home. Instead of selling widgets, services or doing the accounting, have them spend more time in the kitchen for the next month cooking medically tailored meals.
Find out who loves to cook, make sure they know how to cook medically tailored meals to spec and get it launched! At the very least, ask your employees who love to cook to prepare medically tailored meals for those employees who are sick whether in quarantine or isolation because of COVID 19. If this process can work for a small company like mine, {less than ten people} it can work for any size company. By collaborating, you eliminate the financial and accessibility barriers to good food that your employees may usually face.
We will also be ordering enough liposomal vitamin C to have it on hand for two reasons. Why liposomal? Because of its greater bioavailability. It’s an immune boosting strategy for employees even if there weren’t a pandemic. That means it strengthens your immune system against many diseases, not just COVID 19!! And should a loved one contract COVID 19 {or any other virus for that matter} they will be put on an immediate mega dose regimen of liposomal vitamin C.
We suggest these simple steps can be taken ASAP as part of your response to COVID 19:
- Find out which employees in your company love to cook.
- Have them cook meals for those employees who are sick or vulnerable.
- Order a 30-60 day supply of liposomal vitamin C to have on hand for ALL employees, stakeholders and their family. This is the best preventive health strategy I know of and would welcome feedback and thoughts from our readers.
- Read this brilliant article from Fast Company, and then hug your children tight. Put down the laptop and find a way to make this scary time an opportunity to grow closer as a family.
The dosage we are suggesting to co-workers as prophylactic is 2000 mg of liposomal Vitamin C per day.
The dosage we are suggesting for co-workers who are quarantined or isolated is 30,000 mg of intravenous or liposomal Vitamin C per day.
